Rockart Horse
The dating of horse rockart at Mount Karkom corresponding to the appearance of the Hyksos, in the region at about 1700 BC. The horse rockart are symbolic and the drawing repeats in many rocks. The rider is drawn with spreaded hands which creates the symbol of a cross. This is intentional and is an ancient symbol of the sun.
The horse ignited the artist imagination. When he first mounted the horse the magic scenes from high above inspired him. As he began galloping the scenery passed through his eyes in a flash and the speed was exhilarating. The horse carried him fast and he quickly reached worlds never seen before. His imagination flared, and he decided that this magnificent animal would fit the glory of his gods. He chose the horse to carry the sun through the sky. The golden chariot carrying the sun was pulled by no less than four horses signifying a complete control in all four directions .
